What we enjoyed in our week at Villa Gaia was like we ended up in the context of a movie or a book. Usually the photos are better than reality, but not in this case. The house embraces you with all its authentic beauty and the surrounding area has a lot to offer. You can walk for miles between vineyards and beautiful landscapes. Reached Milan by train for a day of shopping. Stradella, about 12 km away, has a lot of fun to offer, even here you can find Italian fashion. You can also stay at home, in the garden it is nice to read or just enjoy the view. And I haven't mentioned Guido and Luisa's hospitality yet, they leave you alone to spend your vacation, but if you feel like you can sit with them for a glass of wine or a cappuccino. We have lost our hearts in this place and look forward to returning here again in the winter. The heat will certainly not be lacking.

Villa Gaia is located on top of a hill in the hamlet of Santa Maria della Versa. Among the vineyards, the house is welcoming. The pleasant garden and the very nice view. The rest of the hamlet is large. Come here for peace, quiet, ... The owners are very helpful and happy to have learned the basics of local cuisine. Very cool. There are plenty of places to visit nearby (sometimes you have to drive), but Bobbio and the Piacenza castles are worth seeing. Will we ever be this happy again?

We came for a visit to our daughter, an Erasmus student in Pavia. We wanted a vacation near the beautiful university city. We had a surprisingly good time with Luisa and Guido !!! The cottage is located on a hill surrounded by vineyards, the view is absolutely fabulous !! The rooms are furnished in a very cozy, romantic way and painted with beautiful particular colors. It is possible to throw yourself into thousands of books mainly on art and travel. There is still an old turntable with many records from years past. We enjoyed the tranquility, friendliness and hospitality. Luisa does everything to pamper her guests. She taught us how to bake Italian bread and make fresh pasta which we then ate together. We visited Milan and also walked a lot. Together with our children we had a fantastic holiday !!

We stayed here last summer and it was a super vacation! The house is very beautiful with stunning views over the vineyards and the hilly countryside of Pavia. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to make the holiday as beautiful as possible. So we went with them for a wine tasting and to teach the kids how to make pasta. The children also had fun in the pool and there are those who relaxed in the hammock. We will be back again!

Great place to stay in contact with nature, completely disconnect from everyday life, to be able to free your mind from the usual problems. We were unable to take advantage of the barbecue a real shame 🙁 you don't miss the chance.

We stayed at Villa Gaia for a week, there were 4 adults and 2 children. The house is spacious, comfortable and clean. What struck us most was certainly the view and the beauty of the landscape from the house, while the children especially enjoyed the swimming pool and the large garden. I recommend this holiday home, especially if you want to spend a nice holiday and like us free yourself from the stress of the city. The great welcome and courtesy of the owners is also to be appreciated. I hope to return and be able to relive this beautiful experience.

I returned last night from a two-day stay at Villa Gaia and I really congratulate the owners for how they welcomed us and how they made their home welcoming. I stayed there with my husband, my brother, nephews and cousin. It immediately seemed like a special place to me. More beautiful and cared for than it seemed to me from the photos. All simple, creative, welcoming, warm, colorful, complete with every comfort and equipped with a beautiful outdoor garden where we could also host other friends for lunch on both days. Luisa and Guido, the owners, were discreet and welcoming from the very beginning and they did not miss even the fresh eggs of the day. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful hills of Oltrepo 'and relax eyes, brain and heart.
